First look at Spielberg’s forthcoming blockbuster THE BFG

ALONE launch Christmas Cracker 5km fun run

ALONE, the charity that supports older people to age at home, have launched their first annual 5km Christmas Cracker run taking place on the 27th December 2015 at 12 noon. The 5km road race is organised in partnership with the Clonliffe Harriers Athletics Club and supported by the European Recycling Platform.

ALONE launch ‘homeless in all but name’ Campaign 2015

ALONE, the charity that provides services for older people in need, have today launched their ‘homeless in all but name’ campaign, highlighting Ireland’s mounting crisis around housing our older people.

ALONE’s Annual Report, released today, reveals that over 50% of all calls received by ALONE in 2014, were directly related to homelessness or housing. The number of older people coming to ALONE in need of housing increased by 90% in 2014.

Celebrating Over 1 Million Irish Visitors Travelling to Spain

Over 1.2 million passengers travelled from Ireland to Spain between January and August 2015 according to figures released from the Spanish Statistical Institute and the Spanish Tourism Office in Ireland. This figure represents a 12 per cent increase year-on-year. The number of Irish Visitors to Spain reached 977,844 over the same period last year, which is a 5.2 per cent increase.
