On Yer Bike at Pedalpalooza Dublin!

Dublin City Council proudly presents Pedalpalooza, a FREE cycling event for all, taking place today, Sunday, from 1pm to 5pm in Fairview Park as part of National Bike Week. Pedalpalooza aims to celebrate and promote the benefits of cycling through workshops, entertaining talks and fun activities.

Organised by Dublin City Council and supported by the National Transport Authority as part of National Bike Week, Pedalpalooza demonstrates the various ways cycling can be incorporated into everyday life. Attendees can learn about the benefits of cycling and how sustainable modes of transport can have a positive impact on our health, our bank balance and our environment.

A wide range of activities suitable for all ages and abilities will be held in the park to get people moving and to promote a more sustainable urban mobility culture, such as e-bike and cargo bike demos, bike tours, children’s workshops, bike maintenance workshops, yoga and much more!

Deirdre Kelly, Cycling & Walking Officer with Dublin City Council stated, “We are delighted to kick off Bike Week 2021 with this exciting cycling event. Our aim at Pedalpalooza is to celebrate all aspects of cycling and promote the benefits for both our individual health and the planet. We encourage people of all ages and abilities to come to Fairview Park this Sunday.  No matter what age or ability – there is something for everyone”

From cycle tours to pedal-powered workshops, obstacle courses and even a cycling fashion show, there is something for the whole family to enjoy at Pedalpalooza!
