Travel Agents advise Irish holidaymakers to book now for 2018

ITAA Quarterly Survey Results

The latest Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) quarterly survey results, released today, demonstrate the continued growth of the Irish travel industry. 73% of Irish travel agents surveyed said that bookings for the second quarter of 2017 (April -June) have increased when compared to the same period in 2016, with a quarter of all agents surveyed experiencing an increase of more than 10-15%.

ITAA Quarterly Survey results correlate with recent CSO travel figures

50% of Irish travel agents have seen an increase in bookings compared to the same period in 2015, according to the latest Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) quarterly survey. These results correlate with the recent CSO figures which revealed that the total number of Irish residents’ trips overseas for the first five months of 2016 increased by 7.8% when compared with last year.

Travel Agents are optimistic for 2014 despite a disappointing 2013

Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) members expect Spain, Turkey and Portugal to be the biggest destinations of 2014

Following last year’s startlingly good weather, it comes as no surprise that 40% of Irish Travel Agents reported a drop in turnover in 2013 in comparison to 2012, whilst 36% reported a small increase in turnover of between 0-10%.
