Irish Travel Agents Association call for COVID-19 tests before flight departures

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) have called for the development and implementation of routine COVID-19 testing for passengers boarding flights out of the country, as an alternative to quarantine measures upon arrival at their destination. The Association believe that this will help to reduce the risk of transmitting the virus and work towards re-establishing global air connectivity after a difficult six months for the travel industry.

Irish Travel Agents call for Government support for Irish travel sector

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) is calling on the Government to provide supports for travel agents who are struggling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ITAA have consistently voiced their concerns regarding the impact that the COVID-19 crisis is having on travel agents throughout the country, and are calling for assistance from Government in the form of measures such as wage subsidies and grants to help repair some of the damage to Irish travel businesses in the wake of the pandemic.
