Irish Travel Agents call for Government support for Irish travel sector

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) is calling on the Government to provide supports for travel agents who are struggling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ITAA have consistently voiced their concerns regarding the impact that the COVID-19 crisis is having on travel agents throughout the country, and are calling for assistance from Government in the form of measures such as wage subsidies and grants to help repair some of the damage to Irish travel businesses in the wake of the pandemic.

Irish Travel Agents Association respond to Government advice on travel restrictions amid COVID-19 pandemic

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) has again called for clarity from the Government on the current COVID-19 travel restrictions, stating that Ireland is now standing alone in Europe in terms of travel restrictions. The current guidelines have caused confusion for both travel agents and their customers, as the Government has not cancelled flights, but are advising passengers against travelling.
