KATIE to open in Irish cinemas on 26th October

Directed by Ross Whitaker (Unbreakable: The Mark Pollock Story), the film which picked up the Best Irish Feature Documentary award at the Galway Film Fleadh earlier this year intimately follows champion boxer Katie Taylor as she attempts to rebuild her career after a year of turmoil threatened to derail her career. With many writing her off, Taylor decided to start again, and the notoriously private champion agreed to let a small crew document her attempt to rescale the heights.

The Young Offenders released across host of VOD platforms

Following its release in UK cinemas this weekend where it received glowing reviews, the Irish Box-Office smash hit The Young Offenders is now available to view across online platforms in Ireland including iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and Eir.

The comedy, which has grossed over €1.2m to date at the Irish box office and is still playing in Vue Liffey Valley and Omniplex Mahon Point, received critical acclaim in the UK over the weekend and has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

BOBBY SANDS 66 DAYS smashes Irish Opening Weekend Box Office Records

BOBBY SANDS 66 DAYS has achieved the highest opening weekend ever at the Irish box office for an Irish made documentary.  The film which was released in Irish cinemas by Wildcard Distribution is now the second highest (non-concert) documentary opening of all-time after the international cinema hit Farenheit 911.  The Oscar winning Amy (also released in Ireland by Wildcard on behalf of Altitude) is in 3rd position.

Standby, the new comedy romance starring Brian Gleeson (The Stag) and Jessica Paré (Mad Men), will be released in cinemas across the country from Friday November 14th with the official trailer now available online:

Twenty-something Alan (Gleeson) is down on his luck. Stood up at the altar and recently fired from his banking job, he finds himself working with his mother as a part-time tourist advisor at Dublin Airport. It’s there he comes face to face with first love Alice (Paré), stuck on standby for a flight home to New York. Their summer romance ended eight years previously with Alan promising to return to the US one day. He never did, and they haven’t spoken since.
